The Plants
Plants from all across the world were introduced onto the island to create an ecosystem and have a better perspective on how humans behave to these plants and what they do to interact with them.

The Animals
Animals are introduced into the area in order to maintain a well controlled ecosystem. Many of the animals found on the island would be scattered across the world. Basically, the ecosystem was created by Mason in order to get a better perspective on how people would behave when coming across these animals.
