Fears: Heights, her friend’s dying, being infected.

Weaknesses: can be impulsive at times.

Habits: biting lips/inside of cheek and fingernails.

History:

On September 7, 2013, Kasey had been sitting at home like usual. The news, which had been on behind her, spoke of the zombie attacks. She and her friends agreed to meet up in Kansas City, Kansas, which was about a 10-11 hour drive from her small town in Ohio. Figuring that it’d take much longer, from blocked roads and searching for supplies, she began to prepare. Her family had been out that day, her parents at work and her brother with friends in town, so she wrote them a quick note before preparing. She grabbed a big green duffle bag and began filling it with the meager amount of canned food she could find in the house, bottles of water, and whatever other food items would keep.

Then, grabbing a backpack, she put whatever other things she might need into a backpack, filled her water bottle up in the sink, and clipped it onto the backpack before heading into her parent’s bedroom. She grabbed the .22 that was kept under their bed, and the box of 50 bullets. She loaded all she’d collected into the family jeep, which had thankfully been left at home, before heading out into the town.
Once in town, she stopped at an IGA to get more food, and a hardware store where she managed to grab a crowbar, before once again jumping back to the road.

As she’d predicted, the ride to Kansas took much longer. Between having to get into new cars to get around the eerie traffic blocks or when she ran out of gas, searching buildings for more supplies, fighting her way through hordes, and occasionally walking to wherever she could find her next ride or shelter for the night, though she’d usually just lock up the car and stay in there.

A couple weeks later, on the 20th of September, she made it to Kansas City. Before looking for a place to hole up in to wait for her friends until they (hopefully) arrived, she searched the ruined city the best she could. Already having burned through all her ammunition for the rifle, she instead used her crowbar to bash zombies out of her way. Eventually, she managed to find her way into a police station with her gear, where she managed to find a stashed 9mm and 5 extra clips, not including the one in gun. Saving her ammo for emergencies, Kasey continued to attack any threats with her crowbar, and only used one clip up before her she met up with her friends.

Kasey had chosen to stay in the police station for the time being, until her friends made her way to the city, scavenging during the day. By October, her friend Josh had made it to the city and they had met up. A few days later, she reunited with her girlfriend and another friend, Jen and Sam. Having four people was a blessing in itself. More hands in fights and during scavenging, and the ability to have rotated watches giving all of them more, better sleep than previously. But as they travelled more and more around the city, recourses were getting harder to find, and more zombies seemed to be around as they were attracted by their scent.
